The villa is spectacularly situated high up on the promontory of Monte Argentario on the southern coastline of Tuscany. Its tranquil and isolated position at the top of it's own long and winding drive offers privacy and breathtaking views over the sparkling blue Mediterranean and the Tuscan Archipelago.
The House in the Clouds was given this suggestive name due to its amazing location high up on the hillside of Monte Argentario. It is not unusual to wake up on an early summer's morning to find that the world below has been obliterated by the sea mist, the house is actually ABOVE the clouds and you could be the only person on the planet! However the heat of the sun and the morning breeze soon see the mist off and you are left with the emerald green of the woods tumbling into azure blue of the sea spread before you in a dance of light and colour. As you raise your eyes to the horizon you are gifted with breathtaking views of the tiny and larger islands of Giglio, Giannutri, Monte Cristo, Elba, Le Formiche and on a clear day Corsica, that make up the Tuscan Archipelago whilst behind you sheer cliffs of volcanic rock form the backdrop of your spectacular holiday destination. Its private location offer undisturbed, quiet, balmy days with the distant sound of waves breaking on the rugged shores far below and the twittering of birds in the surrounding ilex and oak woodland for company.
